Our Logistics division, is a very important area for without it, no one would receive groceries in the parks. Our Logistics Director, Bruce Shuttera, has developed a weekly operation of picking up donations from various sources, warehousing what is received and then packing hundreds of bags of groceries each week for distribution in our parks and in our Care Center food pantry.
Friday night volunteers participate in an efficient assembly line set up where bags are filled, and loaded into the Nineveh trucks for distribution and delivery.
- How you can be involved: Volunteers will meet each Friday from 3:00 – 5:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall to assemble groceries – 2015 season began Friday, April 10.
- Truck drivers, Class C and A, are needed each week for the food donation pick-up – hours and days vary.
- Wednesday food purchases are made and housed – times vary.
- Bread is picked up each week and distributed.
